September howdy!

Dear friends,

It's been awhile since I've sent out an update. Many of you have been asking how I'm doing, post-seperation. I went through my rocky times, sure. Now life is settling into a new, positive rhythm. As my dear friend José recently said.... forgiveness, forgetfulness and kindness equals happiness!

I have been running, dancing, moving! I've been playing music! I've been making videos! I've been writing! I'm letting my creativity loose and it feels darn snazzy!

I've started working on the Community Health Video Project, with my dear chum, Sarah Carl, LMT. We are creating an open forum to allow your voice to be heard about life, about health care, about self-care. It's our letter to our leadership. We want to hear your story! Please contact me, if you'd like to be interviewed!

I'm doubly excited about this project because Sarah recently made a contact with someone working on Obama's campaign! She is very interested in the project and has already started giving us some excellent advice.

I've been gearing up and geeking out! Video camera, microphones... shiny iMac on the way to handle the video production. I'm staying within a budget, which is quite low. We'll be looking for funding to cover our costs and travel expenses. If you have any desire to contribute in any way, shape or form, please contact us! We'll be creating a Facebook page soon to help keep you updated.

By the way... I'm on Facebook.... let's be friends! In addition to my massage blog, it's a great way to stay connected to me on a much more personal level. I share photos, writings, poems... lots o' stuff on there! Just click on the Facebook badge on my home page... http://www.transcendingtouch.com/

Ever since my accident last October, it's started propelling me into a new direction of self-care! I'm running, running, running! Often with the dogs in the morning. I've also started trekking out alone, in the evening, going farther and farther... faster and faster! I don my fancy running shoes and they make me feel invincible! I've lost 35 lbs and took myself off my high blood pressure medication. I feel amazing!

I keep getting signs I'm on the right path, so I'm putting my faith on the unknown. I still have my down moments, but I don't mind. I'm only a mere mortal!

Oh... one more thing... tonight, I signed up for the Portland Marathon. I'm running for The Children's Cancer Association.

Until our healing paths cross next, dear friends!

Blessings and love,
Hamid : )
